Important developments took place within the inner hall, our leaders, and the aristocrats meeting place. Mordon Genette, in an unprecedented act, left the council. At the steps of the inner hall, Mordon Genette stepped down from the council and said “I could not, in good conscience, be part of a government that actively defies its people. Our government, not our people, turned its back on Vision. So I have turned my back on them, the government. I only hope that I have not done it too late to be redeemed.”

What surprised many citizens, was that it was Mordon Genette, and not Fredrick Jarte who stepped down. Jarte was the most loved of our ruling council, in part because he passed many economic reforms, aimed at increasing the wealth of the average citizen, balancing that with the wealth of the noble, even starting SciTech, a helpful buisness/orginization. In contrast, Mordon Genette has often been condemned for not listening to the people of Vision.

Protesters were surrounding the steps to the inner hall prior when Mordon Genette stepped out. All were waiting to see whether or not the government would re-enter the Eastern Empire. As was previously said, Mordon Genette stepping down surprised them. However, the protesters were still waiting to see what the government had decided.

From the actions and quotes from Mordon Genette, we gather that the government has formally decided to rejoin the Eastern Empire. This does not bode well for the coming times. Our young nation will go through a time of struggle. The revolts will get worse, maybe even turning into fulfedge revoltton. We will suffer. We can only hope that the nobles leave in peace, leaving Vision for us.

What this shows is that life in Vision is changing. Those who would be against the revolution may now for it. Liberty is catching. However, though ideas and people are changing, public opinion is undecided. Eliza Wellington told us this. “I’m really unsure. Mordon Genette made it really hard for me to eat while Fredrick Jarte passed economic reforms. However, Mordon Genette left the council while Fredrick Jarte voted for the Eastern Empire. It is a show of good faith, what Genette has done. He will have to do more, but I’m open to change.”

While some people are tentatively hoping that Genette will change, public opinion is still against him. More strange, it has even to started to turn against Fredrick Jarte. Many in the public feel betrayed. He was a symbol of the resistance, their white night, a paragon of justice. Currently, many people still hold out hope that he will change. Others are wavering in their support of the revolution, swayed by Fredrick Jarte. His popularity and name precede him. Many people still love Jarte.

As for us? Here we maintain neutrality and strive to be free from bias. His guilt or innocence is for you to decide.
