We would like to show support for every one who is running and has sumbitted

The nation is reeling after the freedom of the press was so abruptly taken away. The discussion about it had all but vanished as people had started to be glad about their newfound freedom. It has been almost a month and a half since the freedom of the press was granted to us, though it feels like longer. During that time we have grown to depend on it. Even though this freedom may be problematic, there have been many benefits. We do have a government that is elected by the people, instead of one composed only of holdover revolutionaries. We have started to uncover the mystery behind the LilyPad Enterprises. These things may not have happened without the freedom of the press. But, not even those freedoms could change the stiff, uncaring Morning Star.

That was our two cents about this event, but, we are known for leaving things up to the people. We have first interviewed the legend who is feard, loved, adored, and hated: Mordon Genette. He has had a lot to say about this new development.

Mordon Genette

I left one government because it was growing to love its power too much and because it was abusing it. You all rose up because it wasn’t listening to its citizens and because it was going against its wishes. The same thing is happening now. By taking away the freedom of the press the government is tightening its claw. It will continue to do so until we are all fully under its grasp. It is trying to control us.

Right now I need to speak out at the current government. They are gaining more control over the people. This is what happened with the first government, they grew to love their power too much. We need to work together and speak out. Terrible things are happening. This government of revolutionaries may be going too far.

I understand that many of you dislike me. I understand this. I understand that the new government wishes. I do wish to repent for my misdeeds. I was part of a government that oppressed the people. I even facilitated some of the atrocities. I realize that I will not be forgiven for this. But, I can still be helpful. I can still do good things. I do not want to pay with my life. No one deserves to pay with their life. Also, the edict applies to more people than just me. There are many with old power and old money who deserve neither hate nor retribution. I am speaking of SamanthaKey, she has done a lot of good for the people of Vision. She was the one who started the Golden Spoon. She has arguably done just as much for Vision as the revolutionaries who fought against tyranny.

Also, we should be focusing on the famine. Many have died. Many more will die if nothing is done. So far nothing is being done. Our government has become too single-mindedly focused on control and on stamping out the rich and does not have time to keep its citizens safe. The famine will only get worse. The government needs to get its priorities straight and focus on the citizens. Otherwise, it will turn out the same as the first government.

I think that this is just growing pains. We have an elected government filled with people from all the provinces, this is our dream. We need to be patient. They will help with the famine, I know they will. Eliza Wellington is a steadfast revolutionary. She wouldn’t betray us. Professor Stricket is a proud citizen of Bagzida, he is of the people. We should not be critical of our government. They are what we have asked for.

Besides, they are fulfilling the revolutionary dream. They are removing the old aristocrats from Vision. Soon we won’t have to worry about old hold-overs such as Mordon Genette. We are free now. We must ensure that it is not taken away, and so we must punish those who took it away in the first place. We cannot let the oppressors continue to be here.

We should give our government the benefit of the doubt. I may not agree with everything that is going on, but we elected them. We need to trust them. After all, we can’t judge them face value. These events are unprecedented, but we need to be patient. The one thing that I am worried about is food. The famine is still in progress. We are still starving. I have faith that our government will do something to help, I’m just worried about timing. But, we need to be patient. Our government will provide for us.
