We know that many of you will not receive this message. We have worked to make ourselves scarce so that the government will not find us. Unfortunately, this means that many of you will not be able to find us. That is the price that we must pay for our dissent. That is the price for us supporting the rebellion. We do not regret our actions. The rebellion is worth supporting. Taking down our corrupt government is a just cause. It is just that we hope that this is worth it to at least some of you. We hope that our sacrifices will not be in vain.

This, our first issue while underground is an important one. We have had word from councilmember Gareth Masou. He has decided to leave the government and join the rebellion. “I am a simple man. I want peace. I want to serve. I joined government to help people, to make people happy. Government isn’t doing that. It is betraying Vision. It isn’t working for people. It isn’t helping Vision. They are mixed-up. They are tangled up with scheming corporations, like LilyPad Enterprises. They don’t care about Vision, don’t care about people. They care about money, power, and maybe ideals. They don’t care about people. They let people get hurt if it suits them. Right now they don’t feel like fixing the famine. I had to leave and dissent. I want to help people, to make children smile, to bring peace. I can’t do that as part of corrupt government. I left. I joined the revolution. I am here to serve.”

This is an important development. This gives us proof that our government had become corrupt. This shows us that our actions have not been in vain. We risked a lot, dissenting, going underground, and still continuing to provide you with the news. But, we are not the only people that have put things at risk. Our ‘friends’ at the Morning Star have also put much at risk. They defended us, even though doing so meant that they would need to go into hiding. We may have disagreed on many matters, we may even have had a rivalry. But, here at the Daily Blurb, we do recognize our debts. We would like to thank the Morning Star, they have helped us. We will both have to help each other a lot if we want to continue during these times. We will need to work together.

Our newfound partnership with the Morning Star is a sign of radical changes. We are now underground, in hiding, this means that we will not be able to provide the same content as before. As you may have noticed this article did not contain our normal content. We did not post submissions. Instead, we wrote an editorial, much like the other paper, the Morning Star. The problem with going mainly off submissions during these times is that most of the information that we can receive is rumors. We haven’t been able to receive submissions, being in hiding, and all. But, we hope to create a new format very similar to our old one. We will continue to show how these events impact people. We will continue on our quest to promote empathy and to put the spotlight on personal stories. Do not worry. We here at the Daily Blurb will not give up
