Our government had followed through on its plan to revoke the printer’s license of ‘problematic’ newspapers. Just yesterday, both the Daily Blurb and Money Watch had their license revoked. These newspapers had become important to the function of Vision and a vital part of the news flow. No one was expecting papers as prestigious as either of these papers to have their licenses revoked.
The famine has caused many difficulties and its continued progress has stunted Vision. Many are dying. Our government will need to solve this. Being elected also means that the government needs to help people. It needs to help solve the hunger problem. After all, its effects can be seen almost everywhere, even in the capital. The government will need to do something. Otherwise, the famine will not disappear and many more citizens of Vision will suffer and die.

The nation is reeling after the freedom of the press was so abruptly taken away. The discussion about it had all but vanished as people had started to be glad about their newfound freedom. It has been almost a month and a half since the freedom of the press was granted to us, though it feels like longer. During that time we have grown to depend on it. Even though this freedom may be problematic, there have been many benefits. We do have a government that is elected by the people, instead of one composed only of holdover revolutionaries. We have started to uncover the mystery behind the LilyPad Enterprises. These things may not have happened without the freedom of the press. But, not even those freedoms could change the stiff, uncaring Morning Star.
We would, first and foremost, like to thank all of you for electing us. We have all campaigned and you have decided that we would be the best people to represent you. We are pleased to be able to serve you. This will be a return to revolutionary ideals. We will neither abandon you nor betray you. The people that you elected are all loyal to Vision. We are the people of Vision, the common people, the poor, and the outcasts. It is for us that Vision was built for and it was also you who Vision was made for. Together, we will further the revolution.

The elections have indeed taken place. Due to pressures from the people, all members of the government have stepped down and have decided not to run for reelection. All except for Eliza Wellington. Vision has been changing. These elections are a sign of that. Everything about the event was unprecedented, from the people elected, to the public’s response, to even the fact that we were having elections at all. The elections may very well go down in history as a turning point in Vision.
There has been much campaigning recently. Many different people have expressed a desire to run again. Here we have talked to many of those people and heard tier stories and what they promise to do.
