Vision’s Triumph

Febuary 8, 1779

By Eliza Wellington

It has been 6 long months. 6 long months of violence. We have fought. Fought for our rights, fought for our ideals, fight for Vision itself. We have had to fight soldiers from the Eastern Empire as well as reactionary bent on preserving the tyrannical rule of the Aristocrats, rallied by the old leaders.

It was our new revolt against the old leaders of Vision that has allowed this rise. Men and women from our small country all rose up after suffering many injustices. Our learnings had been exploited, used to support the indulgence and decadence of Aristocrats, not for the greater good of all of Vision. We rose up, vowing that the fruits of our labors would never be used for the serving of the vile Aristocrats.

We have now formed a new government. One that will lead our people as they wish to be lead. This government will be by our people. It will defend our rights. To properly do this, we have established a new national guard. Mordon Genette, acclaimed hero of the revolution, at least to some, has agreed to lead the new national guard. This is of course temporary, as we hope to hold elections sometime in the upcoming months. However, our temporary government comprised of both me and Jamile King should suffice for now. We are both proven revolutinarys.

After we revolted some of us have had to remain in arms, preparing for an eventual backlash. We now require a standing army to defend our nation in case of an attack. We now must fear an attack. Whether it will come from outside our nation or from within we do not know. However, we will be ready.

Even though we require a national guard, we will continue to grow scientifically and economically. SciTech is continuing to help us progress. In a bright future, we rule all of the surrounding lands, with all kingdoms paying tribute to us to gain the fruits of our knowledge and our protection. Our science and dominance as a local power will soon allow us to be free from material wants and will let us devote our time more fully to that of the pursuit of utopia, allowing us to create a land of freedom and equality.

Our future will truly be bright. In Vision, we have fought tyranny not once but twice. We have seen how it can settle in the hearts of man. We know how to find it and eradicate it. Vision will not be a place of tyranny. Our rights will continue to be preserved, for this time it will be our own in government who are tasked with preserving our rights. We will vote. We will rise. We will overcome it. We will be the blueprint for a new egalitarian future. One that will be the first and yet shall surpass all others.

Yet, though we will one day be an egalitarian utopia, in our current time we are broken. We sustained heavy losses during the revolution. We have also lost all those with relevant political knowledge, except for Modern Genette, who has proclaimed that he will never again take up the mantle of that as a political figure. He is simply captain of the Guard. There are also rumors that Fredrick Jarte and Lady Lila are still somewhere out there.

We are also pleased to mention a member of our government, proud revolutinary Jamile King. Ms. King has kindly donated a lot of money to us. This means that we are able to sponsor a new, faster, more efficient type of printing press. This will be the dawn of a new information age. This is the dawn of a new Vision.

This is merely the first page in our long book of history. Our rocky start before our Vision is fully realized. We will continue. In hope. In peace. In charity. We will tear down the old institutions and remove every last Aristocrat from our proud land.
